Variant switcher

Allow customers to change product variants directly in the cart

The Variant switcher allows customers to change the variant of any cart item without removing the product and adding it again.

This is a relatively rare feature among Shopify themes, and based on our research, it significantly improves the customer experience. Shoppers sometimes add the wrong variant to their cart (for example, Small / Blue instead of Medium / Blue). With this feature enabled, they can correct their selection directly from the cart, saving time and reducing friction.

By allowing quick adjustments, the Variant switcher helps keep customers focused on completing their purchase.

Configuration

This feature does not require any advanced configuration. You can simply enable or disable it depending on your preference.

Please note:

• The Variant switcher only appears for products that have multiple variants

• It will not be shown for single-variant products

You can enable or disable this feature from the Cart items block settings, as seen in the screenshot below.
